When was the last time you performed an act of kindness? Tomorrow, Saturday 13th November, is Kindness Day UK and organisers are asking everyone to do at least one good deed on the day…
Every little helps is the message of Kindness Day UK, and there are lots of ways to get involved in this great cause, including:
- thinking about kind people you know
- thinking about kind acts that have had an impact on you
- a kind act that you can carry out for someone
- giving to a charity or a cause
- volunteering for an organisation
- thinking about what kindness means to you
The Kindness Day campaign was set up by humanitarian, children’s charity founder and Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire, David Jamilly along with fellow humanitarian Louise Burfitt-Dons. David said. "Kindness Day is something for everyone to get involved in. Anyone can do good deeds but this day shall be a reminder of their value and hopefully create a massive awareness of the great value and importance of spreading kindness and good deeds. Kindness day has been celebrated in several countries worldwide for many years but this will be the first for the UK.”
So the question is… what will be your one act of kindness? What is the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?
